Wishlist

Wishlist is your Self-owned area: keep My Wishlist private, share selected items when you choose, and in Version 1.1 preserve an item as a Received Gift when someone gives it to you.

Wishlist is your Self-owned area rather than a normal Person profile. Version 1.1 keeps My Wishlist and Received Gifts together without making Self participate in recipient readiness or gifting budgets.

Add an item

  1. Open Wishlist.
  2. Tap +.
  3. Enter the item title.
  4. Add optional price, notes, link or other available details.
  5. Save.

Edit an item

  1. Open Wishlist.
  2. Open the item detail. Tapping a saved Wishlist item opens its view rather than editing immediately.
  3. Choose Edit explicitly.
  4. Make your changes.
  5. Tap Save.

Mark a Wishlist item as received

  1. Open the Wishlist item detail.
  2. Choose Mark as received.
  3. Review the carried-forward title, photo, saved link, price and notes.
  4. Choose or add the giver, enter the Received on date, and optionally add an occasion/reason.
  5. Save the Received Gift.

The active Wishlist entry is changed only after the Received Gift saves successfully. Cancelling or a failed save leaves the Wishlist item untouched. The new Received Gift keeps provenance that it came from My Wishlist.

Version 1.1 uses a consistent Open saved link treatment across Gift Ideas, Wishlist items and Received Gifts. Open the detail first, then use link, edit or share actions deliberately from that context.

Protect a Wishlist item

When a Wishlist item is marked as protected, its private content is redacted while locked and device authentication is required before viewing/editing/sharing that individual item.

Share a single Wishlist item

  1. Open the item’s actions.
  2. Choose Share.
  3. If the item is protected, authenticate first.
  4. Review the disclosure preview.
  5. Share deliberately.

Share the Wishlist

  1. Open Wishlist.
  2. Tap Share wishlist.
  3. Choose the items to include.
  4. Review the preview.
  5. Choose Share wishlist….

Protected Wishlist items are excluded from whole-Wishlist sharing by default, even if one had previously been unlocked during the app session. A protected item must be dealt with deliberately as an individual authenticated share.
